The Acobily plugin for WordPress
Add a free link shortener to any WordPress post or page. Your visitors paste a long link and get a short acobily.com link with its QR code and click stats, without leaving your site.
Widget for any website:
<div id="acobily-embed"></div> <script src="https://acobily.com/embed.js" async></script>
Install in one minute
Download the ZIP above, go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin in your WordPress dashboard, choose the file and activate. Then insert the Acobily block in the editor, or write [acobily] anywhere shortcodes work.
English and Spanish
The box speaks the language of your site: Spanish WordPress installs get the Spanish box, everyone else gets English. You can also force one language per shortcode with [acobily lang="es"] or [acobily lang="en"].
Honest by design
The plugin makes no external request when activated or when a page is viewed. Only when a visitor pastes a link and presses the button does their browser send that link to the Acobily API. No tracking, no hidden links, just the visible Powered by Acobily credit.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need an API key or account?
No. The Acobily API is public and free.
Will it slow my site down?
The CSS and JavaScript load only on pages where the block or shortcode is used.
